Update on Emilyn: Unfortunately because there are so many things being thrown in the air right now, I am not able to give a clear update on Emilyn. On Saturday evening, Emmy experienced a severe oxygen decel while we were holding her. It was extremely difficult to experience, but we are happy that we are now educated on what to do in these circumstances. They continued to monitor her and this morning they spoke with neuro who then suggested to run another eeg for 24 hrs to test if Emilyn is having any more seizures that monitors are not picking up and if these are correlating with her oxygen decels. So far, Emilyn has not had additional oxygen decels since Saturday evening, but has shown to have had an additional seizure activity. Even though the staff assures us that bc she is not physically being affected by these seizures right now and they arent whats keeping her in the NICU, it is heart wrenching for us to hear. Right now they are still monitoring her to see if she is going to have another decel and if these correlate with the seizures. Also, they are making decisions and taking the steps forwards to get the proper machines that Emmy may need to monitor her in our home. Please please please continue to pray for our little girl, she is fighting so incredibly hard and as parents it is so difficult not being able to do anything to help our baby girl. We just want her home! Thank you for all of your support through this extremely difficult time. We love you Emilyn, Jackson and Zachary, keep staying strong!
