Update on JIm today.....yesterday afternooon around 5.....I got the results of the biopsy report....Jim does have a cancerous tumor on his vocal cords/larnyx.....with that said....we met with the cancer doctor today....and he gave us a lot of hope....a new drug.....along with radiation has been/is very affective in treating this type of cancer.....it willl shrink and eliminate the tumor....in a very high percentage of cases....meaning.....then they can remove the trach tube.....and his air way will be open....eating can resume...he will be in rehab for an extended period of time.....with a feeding tube....for strength and good nutrition during this time of treatment.....they will begin in 4 weeks.....with treatments 5 days a week for 6 weeks......soooo...this is the plan for now.....keep the prayers coming.....God is hearing each and every one of them.....and answering them ....he should leave the hospital in 4 or 5 days.....and go to rehab....Thanks for allllll of your concern...pray that Jim gets strong.....to tollerate the treatments he will be going through......this new drug does NOT have the side affects that chemo does.....mostly....just being tired.....
