Update on James....After meeting with the doctors at MD Anderson and having several test completed the results show he has cancer cells in his brain again and high protein levels in the spinal fluid. The high protein levels respresent it may have spread into the spinal fluid. It has NOT spread outside of the brain and spine! This is the same cancer type he had before (medulloblastoma). The doctor believes that since his treatment was 15 years ago he can be treated with 10 radiation treatments and possbily a chemo he can take orally. His type of cancer reacts very well to radiation treatment so we are hopeful this will work. Of course there are risk with any cancer treatment so your prayers are greatly needed and appreciated! The doctor stated we must treat this now and can no longer just monitor it. Our next trip to Houston will be sometime next week to begin setting up the radiation treatments.
