Update on Jeremiah . . . so the last couple of days have been a whirlwind! Thursday was XRay day at the orthopedic clinic to assess whether the weight cast was going to do the trick. Not so lucky . . . the doctor looked at the films and immediately sceduled him for surgery first thing Friday morning! Initially thought he could insert 2 pins to hold the break in place (pushing them through the skin) and it would take about an hour, but ended up having to use 4 pins because of the angle of the break and it took over two hours. Jeremiah got a little woozy from the anesthesia so his recovery time took a little bit longer, but other than that he did fine. His shoulder is packed thick and tight with a dressing and his arm is in a sling. He goes back next Thursday for XRays and if it is healing properly, he may be able to lose the sling. Which will thrill him to death because right now his BIGGEST gripe is not being able to take bath or shower! Sponge baths only for six days!
