Update on Joe Walley: Friday, July 18, 9:00 am I didnt sleep in this morning. I just couldnt miss the 6:00 am visit. Micheal was already in the room when I got to the hospital. They left Joes hands unrestrained last night. He pulled the NG tube out early this morning and the nurse had to reinsert it. She also restrained his hands again. He was not a happy camper to say the least. He kept giving her mean looks when she would come in the room. :) They had him on CPAP when I got in there so that he would be ready to be put on T-Piece when the respiratory therapists got there. A friend of mine who is a respiratory therapist here just stuck her head in and said he was on T-Piece and was doing well. So it looks like it wont be long until they can remove the tubes! Yay!!!! I am in the waiting room just relaxing a bit. The weather has me sleepy again so I wouldnt be surprised if I napped a bit. Its very quiet today. I cant wait until they come get me to tell me they are removing the tube. Hes been trying to tell me something all morning so maybe Ill be able to understand when all the tubes are gone. There is another family with me in here now. They need our prayers as they make decisions for their patient. God knows their need. Hopefully my next post will say that he is tube free! Thank you again for your thoughts and prayers. I will be forever changed because of witnessing such an outpouring of love and support. Love to you all! Belinda
