Update on John: Finally admitted him around 2:00 pm.....He had a complete cardiac workup a few weeks ago....including a stress test....He has a stent in the Left Anterior Descending Artery....placed several years ago....it was open and functioning well... Blockage in this artery is known as the widowmaker...it supplies the front and side of the myocardium.....so it is vital.....As the physician began to question John...he revealed that he has had the pressure since Thursday.....Oh my....I thought it had began last night....and I was not happy about that....but knowing it was over 2 days....made me even more unhappy....what was he thinking?? The macho factor claims lives.....Now the physician is thinking Gall Bladder....so he is scheduled for an ultrasound at 8:00 PM...would be earlier....but he ate a large meal in the ER.....so that delayed that test.....I came home around 3:00 pm and collapsed on the bed.....needed to rest a bit......I will be going back up in awhile and take him things he may need.... John is quite a character....as you who know him, recognize....he will talk to a post....He talked to everyone in the ER....he talked to radiology...laboratory...food service...people in the elevator...nurses, aides, techs, physicians, the housekeeping staff.....I was not in the room to try and mediate.....Holly tried...but had trouble shutting him down....eeeekkkkk....as we left to come home....he followed us to the elevator and was engaging those in the hallway....bored out of his skull.....I feel sorry for all the staff....who were trying to find his stop and pause point....(he doesnt have one)......I am getting ready to go back up there....will try and help him cool his communicative jets and find something to watch on TV.....EEEEEEKKKKKKKK Bottom line:....No evidence of cardiac problems yet.....looking at the gall bladder....will know more tomorrow when all the tests are in......Thank you all for your words of concern and for your prayers....
