Update on Johnny- its a good thing we went to the vet. Johnny has lost a 1/2 pound in the last 10 days (he is now under 2lbs). They did bloodwork and his liver numbers are off and he is slightly anemic. Let me also say, I dont know all the technical terms and may have some of this a little off, but basically the liver numbers are a bad sign. They did an xray and found their to be a decent amount of fluid in the abdomen, they took a sample and it was a light pink/clear color. The good thing is that its not FIP (which if he had that he would die soon from it), we are thinking the fluid has something to do with his liver not functioning properly. That sample will be sent out for further diagnostics. Johnny is not in the clear. The next couple days will be very important for him. He is on antibiotics and a liver support medicine. I will also syringe feed him a mix of water and pedialyte 4 times per day to make sure he is getting enough fluids in him. Thankfully he has a good appetite and is gearing his wet food on his own. I am so thankful to everyone at Dr. Nona Rubins Bridgeville Animal Hospital. Dr.Aldinger isnt on Facebook, but he is wonderful, and their vet techs are the best (Mathew Dobbins). Please keep Johnny in your prayers. If you are interested in contributing to his care, the number at the vets office is 412-220-9400, or through PayPal at helppghcats@gmail. Johnnys new name when he is all better will be Johnny Big Bucks, as his bill today was over $400
