Update on Last Nights Traffic Collision. At approximately 10:18pm, SFPD attempted to pull over a vehicle for a traffic infraction violation in the intersection of Larkin/Post. . The vehicle fled from officers. As the vehicle fled the police the unit did not pursue. Two blocks later the suspect ran a red light and collided with a taxi cab. The impact of the collision sent the vehicles into the sidewalk and two pedestrians were struck Post and Jones streets. The suspect in the vehicle fled, however was subsequently taken into custody after boarding a 38 Geary bus in the westbound direction. The taxi driver and an occupant were injured with non life threatening injuries. Two pedestrians were injured. One suffered life threatening injuries, the other pedestrian is being evaluated. Both Suspects were also injured with non life threatening injuries. All parties were transported to SFGH. The suspect vehicle was reported as a stolen vehicle.
