Update on Liam : As of the time of this posting, I can say that Liam has been off oxygen support for about roughly a day and some change- as as seen in the photo, they have decided to remove the oxy support completely. He is nursing from his mother and retaining what he drinks- and more importantly, breathing on his own power. His voice is still raspy- and he is still sick, but through the worst of it I would like to think. All his tests came back with no issues- they believe his first sample (correct if Im wrong) had what they decided to determine in the end was a contaminant and thus will not need a full round of antibiotic treatment, thus prolonging his stay. We are feeling hopeful and positive that he should be able to get discharged at some point today- but if he has to stay then no worries because obviously his health comes first, the holiday - the date - is secondary, and family trumps all. Speaking of which- thank you, each and every single one of you from both Erinn and I. The support has been staggering and extremely heartfelt during this, quite honestly, scary period for us, and all your prayers, thoughts, wishes and feelings I am sure helped contribute to the well being and recovery of our little boy. In the end, with no Phoenix Down or curaga to really hand out- it was up to Liam to fight this thing off- but he didnt do it alone. Thank you- seriously. This has been quite the emotional end to a fantastic year, and definitely would be an awesome anniversary gift- to have the family together today back at the house, but regardless, hearts and minds as one
