Update on Mansker: No luck finding Manskers owner so far, so if anyone recognizes this pup, even if the person is unwilling or unable to take him back, I sure would love to at least know his name and see his ears perk up when I call to him. Dear hubs and I disagree on what to call the sweet ole guy. I named him Mansker since he was found in Mansker Farms, but my hubby now insists on calling him Red or Rusty. Poor confused dog! Anyway, ole Red (oops, I mean Mansker) is making progress. He is getting an appetite back, and he is able to not only walk outside by himself without being carried, but tonight, he also walked/slowly hopped all the way up our flight of stairs to our bedroom! Go, Big Red! Oops, I mean Mansker. Three days of anti-inflammatory meds seem to be helping so much. Red/Mansker has discovered his favorite sleeping spot at night: on my chaise lounge we have in our bedroom. He surprised us by hopping up there last night. So, now I have put a blanket on the chaise, and here he is, settling in for the night. One problem: The poor guy hasnt pooped since we got him on Jan. 1! Not sure how long he can go before I should be concerned. Any thoughts on this from those who have worked with traumatized dogs? Sorry for the long post, but I know many have been following this story and sharing photos, so I thought some may want to know how things are going. Thanks for all of the support!
