Update on Mickey Cannon. I finally managed to get by again today. He seemed in good spirits and was sitting by the door having just returned from a Dr appt. I thought he looked good. He is well enough it seems. He is now diabetic but said it ran in his family. We chatted a bit and took a pic or two which I will share. I was surprised he was ok with that. He said tell you all hello. I got him his foot long hot dog all the way from College BBQ and a 20 oz Pepsi. Did not know he was diabetic so it was not diet. He had told me before he could have anything he wanted. SO, if any of you drop by with goodies they need to be diabetic. He said he was not big on cookies but does like the Oreo kind that are vanilla on one side, chocolate on the other and vanilla cream centers. I am not sure that kind comes in diabetic but will look my next time at the store. I ran out of time today. He has had a couple of visitors and seemed thrilled about that. As for his likes he said he likes: John Grisham books, Word Search puzzles. Not crosswords he said. I got him the Gold Medal Word Seek Volume #1 today and will take it to him next time I go. Arrid stick deodorant, diabetic candy of any kind, any reading about the Civil War, Halls Cough Drops(DIABETIC) cherry flavored. His glasses are taped because they dig into his nose for those who notice that in the pics. The end of his nose has a sore on it and is taped to keep him from messing with it. Diabetics heal much slower for those who do not know. Now he has a pretty good list of DVDs he likes if anyone has any they want to donate to him or wants to purchase and mail to him if you live out of town. I am going to see what I may have or can find . He loves westerns, Bruce Willis, Tom Hanks, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Chuck Norris, Bruce Lee.
