Update on Mike - they will not be able to do the simple surgery they had hoped. He has fractures in his C1 and C2. He will be having 4 screws and 2 rods inserted in an approximately 4 hour procedure at Charleston General. We first have to get approval from his cardiologist and go through the proper insurance channels, so were probably looking at around April 7th for the surgery. Recovery time will be 4-6 weeks. However , he will be up to walking our daughter, Jennifer Houghland, down the aisle on April 19th!
