Update on Mom.....as of this morning (Wednesday) they have decided to proceed wth surgical interventions. Mom is scheduled for surgery on Thursday morning. The information Ive received is that it will be a 2 day separate surgical procedure. The first will be Thursday morning, after which she will be sedated overnight in icu, to be followed by an additional surgical procedure on Friday. This development was a bit unexpected, but her physicians have decided that this is the besy course of treatment. Reid will keep me updated as the days and procedures progress. I will continue to update as soon as information becomes available. The procedures are quite delicate and risky, but I am confident that her drs are taking excellent care of her, and I Hope and pray with all my heart that her trooper attitude and her incredible strength and spirit will result in a positive prognosis and healing. Moms always been a fighter...we all know that, and we all love her fighting spirit along with her strength and courage. Mom is amazing. She is the best Mom anyone could ask for. And although she is not up to visitors, she was thrilled that our long term convalescent and healing pastor from our church made a visit to pray with her and anoint her with healing oils today. Mom and i have always believed that our pastor has a direct healing connection with God and I pray his visit today brought her comfort and peace. Prayer and worship are an amazing power, and I truly believe God is lifting her up and holding her in His arms. Please continue the good thoughts and prayers.
