Update on Mulan, the starving baby who was thrown over a fence to fend for herself... MULAN, a precious bully mix who was tossed over a fence after being starved to death, is now resting comfortably in her foster home. So many AAU fans rallied for us to save this dog, who we pulled mere moments before she was going to be euthanized in a rural GA shelter. The intake vet informed us that she is a mere 26 pounds on a frame that should carry 45-50 pounds, and she is loaded with heartworms. Despite feeling horrible, she is so starved for affection that she literally tries to crawl into the skin of anyone who will acknowledge her. Foster mommy Kathleen held her and hugged her on the ride home from the vet, and Mulan is already improving drastically in her home. Kathleen looks forward to nursing this angel back to good health, and confirms her demeanor is exceptional. She was a great save, angels! She will continue to rest and recover in her foster home, but can be pre-adopted now.
