Update on Puppy Rescue .... We lost one puppy early this morning :( . R.I.P. Rescue #5..... Rescue # 1,2,3 and 4 ( these are their names on their Vet Medical Record :) were diagnosed with Hook Worms, ear mites, dehydration, malnutrition and all are very underweight . They have been treated, will have additional meds including heart worm prevention. Dr. Seffins sent them home with special food and meds and good prognosis :) . The runt is pretty lethargic but today was a rough day and the worm meds are surely giving all of them tummy issues. We will be watching him closely. We first thought he had a severe deformity of his spine , but Dr. Seffins said its because he is so malnourished and has no meat on his hips :( . If he makes it that will soon change. My whole family realized today that we had NO idea the extent of how often animals are in need of being rescued. We could not have asked for more professional and compassionate care ! I will post some pictures tomorrow . Our Vet says it is likely they are Full Lab , 3 male and 1 female. Three black , one chocolate . They are just beautiful with fur that already looks rich and silky, showing sweet temperaments , they have already stopped acting scared. Watching them grub down after their doctor visit was hilarious :):). We have been given the okay to foster them until we find safe loving homes for them . We now know who had the puppies although we dont know details. My FB is public and I also have FB friends who know this young man . We just want him to know the remaining four are ok and ask him to please re evaluate assuming such a great responsibility without genuine intention to love and protect life . Its basically not much different than how we protect our children. Sooo for the time being in addition to Preacher Man , Emerie the Devil Rescue Cat, the many strays who must have an underground railroad communication they send when its cold out ( come on over, The Benoits have cardboard boxes in their shed), 4 roaming raccoons, a variety of birds, squirrels, owls, etc., we now have 4 precious Lab puppies :) SHEESH! ...Peace my FB friends.....Remember to CHECK on ALL Your FURBABIES.....its cold outside !!
