Update on Randa! She went to see 4 different doctors on Thursday in Jackson, (our home away from home) and they finally have decided what is the best option right now on how to fix the hole she has been dealing with with for almost 5 months now. She is scheduled for surgery on December 12th unless someone cancels before then. They to go in a remove part of her Cochlear Implant, not the wiring part, but the part the has been poking out all this time. While he is in there he will try and clean out all the infection she has (which is not much..thank goodness) and let that heal for a few weeks. Then the same doctor will go back in and put in a new device so she will still have her Cochlear. After he is done another doctor will do a skin graft and cover that dreadful hole up. Thankfully they decided NOT to take the skin from her head and will be taking it from her left wrist area instead. Once all this is done she still will be doing the Hyperbaric Chamber to help all that heal from the inside out. When all is said and done ,I pray in a few months my baby can hear again.
