Update on Randy, Saturday evening, October 18, 2014...the week has been busy, but so so good! Sunday, Monday, Tuesday infusions were successful and minimal discomfort for only a day. (This was meds for mouth sore prevention.) Wednesdays procedure to remove pic and place central line...successful. No complications, and I have to tell you that there is not even a spot where that pic was!!! (See the book of Daniel...and they did not smell like smoke) Weve had three of four of the chemo treatments...successful!! He has done great...only a little slump late this afternoon, but feels better now. He looked so good this morning, I thought he could have played 18!! One more to go tomorrow, then we check in...go behind the doors that separate us from the outside world for about three weeks to a month. Please continue to pray for this hospital stay. It has the potential to be difficult. Very difficult. We, however, are ready for this: Emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically. Please pray for each element of this process. Please pray against any complications. Please pray for Rita as she prepares for her stem cell growth. Please pray for The Lord to indeed finish the work He has begun... I was reading a while ago and thinking about the separation we are about to face. A lot has gone through my mind this week and these past weeks as Ive gotten myself girded up...so heres the bottom line, folks. Simply put. Earthly separations are temporary, but sometimes necessary. But theres a separation which never takes place. Never. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come....nothing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Love will go behind the doors with us. In fact, Hes already there. So, for the last time for a long time...blessings to you and yours from Woodbank!! #fight. #staystrong. #dontgiveup
