Update on Rick... The last 24 hours has been heart wrenching and very emotional. About this time yesterday Rick had stopped responding and had went back to that blank stare. I was so terrified that he had had another stroke and I had difficulty getting the doctor on call last night to do anything about it or to order a CAT scan. I was so frustrated and heartbroken and felt so helpless. Nicole and Kristin ended up coming to the hospital about 2:30 in the morning and they also spoke with the doctor and after several hours of begging him he finally agreed to order a CAT scan. Praise the Lord the CAT scan showed no new activity as far as a stroke and our mind was put to ease. Finally today Rick started responding again. Hallelujah!!! then tonight I opened up our devotion and was reading it to Rick. My heart was so overwhelmed with joy I have to share it. One of the Scripture readings was Eph. 3: 20 &21 I am able to do far beyond all that you ask or imagine. Come to Me with positive expectations, knowing that there is no limit to what I can accomplish. Ask My Spirit to control your mind, so that you can think great thoughts of Me. Do not be discouraged by the fact that many of your prayers are yet unanswered. Time is a good trainer, teaching you to wait upon Me, to trust Me in the dark. The more extreme your circumstances, the more likely you are to see My POWER AND GLORY at work in the situation. Instead of letting difficulties draw you into worrying, try to view them as setting the scene for My glorious intervention. Keep your eyes and your mind wide open to all that I am doing in your life. Thank you, Father, for your word were we can draw strength and encouragement. I LOVE YOU! !!
