Update on Rox: She is doing good this morning. She is still loopy because she thought today was Sunday & thought we were in Birmingham. Lol! She finally woke up in the middle of the night when I was trying to sleep! I am hopeful that the surgery was successful. The Resident told me that she had a lot of adhesions in the the bundle of nerves located in the Thorasic Outlet. The best I can describe it is that the nerves were all on top of each other & were not independent of each other. When they release the adhesions, the nerves fan out like they are supposed to do & not cause the pain that she had when they were all in a ball. He also stretched her right & left pectoral muscles because they were too tight & caused a lot of shoulder pain. It is amazing how the body works. It is also amazing how nerves & muscles located in one place, control so much in other places & if they are damaged (like Roxannas), pain can be an ongoing issue. We are hoping & praying for the best. Rox will be here in the hospital for 3 more nights & then we will go to our hotel that is located in the hospital for another 3 days & then they will take the drain tube out. Dr. Thompson wants her to stay 2 more nights to make sure things are ok before we head back home. Again, thank all you for your prayers & concerns. We believe in prayer & we know that the Lord hears each & every one. We are leaning on Him to get us through all of this.
