Update on Ruby: The doctors have no idea what Ruby has, but believe it to be a virus. It most definitely NOT strep. She had to have a chest Xray which revealed fluid in her lungs, and bloodwork to try and determine what it is (hasnt come back yet). In the meantime she has been placed on a steroid, antihistamine, tylenol (to keep her temperature down), and an antibiotic. Her rash is not caused by her fever but when her temperature elevates it makes it WAY worse, she is not allowed to wear clothing and has to take the antihistamine to try to keep the rash at bay and the swelling in her tongue and lips down. Her doctor said they have never seen anything like it. I will post pictures in the comments of the rash so you can watch for it also if you have children.
