Update on Shealyn Thomson... Much better day than yesterday... I went over early today to talk with Shea to see what her problems and worrys were from the day before. I also wanted to be there for every meal today to make sure she was at least making an attempt at getting some food in her! I really did not give her a chance to say no at anything..just kept talking and talking and coaxing and doing.. She ate some of her breakfast then we worked on her physical therapy.. with a few breaks between exercises we got through it...I told her I would give her an hour and then we will work on occupational therapy..well I got out of that one cuz the therapist came in to do it..I could tell she really did not want to work on it but right away I just started talking and it happened!! She ate half her lunch and then we talked about rehab.. She wrinkled her nose...I said is that what you are worried about and she shook her head yes with fright in her eyes!!! OMG... Everyone was telling her that it is three hours a day of work without visitors...so still being in some pain she was afraid of them pushing her. I explained they will not do anything she cannot handle...even if she starts without getting out of bed..they can start with speech therapy to hand therapy to just the exercises she does now, but just a little longer... She was really relieved.. She ate half her dinner and this momma was very happy!!!! Shea is feeling a lot of anxiety in what is in for her on a daily basis, but I assured her she is not walking it alone!!! I pray for Shea to stay strong and to do her best!!
