Update on Shealyn Thomson.. Well we have news... The temps every night was the fact that Shea was being weaned from Vancomycin for c-diff.. And obviously she was not ready to go cold turkey. A intestinal problem from being on antibiotics for many months...so fever is taken care of! The surgeon from Dartmouth called this morning and said her cat scan did not show anything close to pneumonia...a lot of scarring from the pulmonary endocarditis, but no fluids!!! When we went to Dartmouth on Wednesday for the tests, Shea did not cough once!! When we got home she started coughing again!! I did not think of anything because most of her coughing is at night... Shea said she thinks she is allergic to the cat!! It is her cat that she has had for four or five years! Well yesterday, she moved to the family room for awhile while I swept, vacuumed, dusted the whole living room where she is living and the coughing was a lot less!!! What a relief!! When I had the surgeon on the phone, I mentioned that Mid State changed her heart med.. He said NO!!! She should stay on what she was on!!! I called Mid State and they were not very warm!! Anyways I believe more into this pharmacist right now than anyone!!! I could talk with him all day long!!! Now waiting to be called foe Pre-ops that will not be within the week, but should be!! Pray, pray for Shea that the surgery is sooner than later!! We need to move on!!!
