Update on Sophie. I am still working with Sophie trying to get muscle back in her healing and working on some of her bad habits. When excited she will jump on folks just in greeting and loves to shred paper. She is a hyper girl but she is still a puppy. Working on this too but as she ages and the spay takes hold I am sure she will calm down. She will always be a special needs girl. Most young dogs heal quicky but in her case it most likely would have been best if a pin was put in her broken leg. Sophie will always have a limp and her lower leg is deformed and the paws aims to the right. She limps but it does not slow her down. As she ages she will need anti-inflammatory meds and she MUST be an inside dog as cold weather would not be good for this leg. She also has enjoyed the creature comforts of living inside. Loves to take rest breaks on the sofa beside me and sleeps in the bed next to me....thank goodness she does not snore. She loves everyone she meets and all creature big and small although she can play a bit rough with my kitties she is not going to hurt them as she just wants to play. She actually sleeps in my bed with two of my cats. Will update in a few days. Happy tail wags from Calabash, North Carolina. We are so grateful to Jim Johnson for all that he has done for sweet Sophie. She would have never made these improvements without his love and devotion. ❤️
