Update on Steve, my father in law: Things arent doing so well. - TopicsExpress

Update on Steve, my father in law: Things arent doing so well. The neurologist previously thought that he had Guillain Barré Syndrome. His most recent spinal tap results are leading him to believe that it is not Guillain Barré afterall. Steve has become less responsive and has lost most of his ability to even open his eyes. He is still on the respirator. This feels so defeating. They have ran every test, every scan, every lab they can think of. Everything EVERYTHING has come back completely normal. So now we are back to the drawing board. His neurologist has made Steve a case study and has put Steves case on a neurologist forum for some help. He is completely stumped. As disheartening as this news is, we know that Steve is strong. He loves his family and we know that he will fight this. We are all sharing shifts at the hospital and trying to stay positive. Thank you all for your kind words. Thank you to Christopher R. Colton, Tenille and Don Hyun and Gail Blair Mitchell for dinners. Thanks to Jesse Phillips for housecleaning, dog care, and constant love and support. Thank you to Hiedi Decker for helping out with laundry. Thanks to Pamela for letting us use your husband Bert to make our yard beautiful. And a continued big HUGE thank you to Chrys Jared-Bjornson and her husband Mike for picking up and dropping off our kids from school every day, keeping them entertained, helping them with lunches and keeping them overnight when they wanted company. You guys have made this difficult situation so much easier for my kiddos. Please keep Steve in your prayers, as well as his wife Jan and our family.
