Update on Support Christian On Wednesday we went to Childrens for his appointment. It went well! His counts are great! Hes doing awesome with his Leukemia. Whats affecting him is his insulin. Hes not taking it well right now. Its been 2 weeks already that hes been on insulin. He doesnt like the pokes and too much poking. He does Novolog after meals and checking his sugars before meals & before bed. The numbers come out to 200-450 at least. He also takes Lantus at bedtime every night. Hes gotten use to the pokes and he told me, Mom I want my life back. It wasnt easy to here that from my your child. I took it very hard and just seeing him going through this pain hurts more. Hes started the steroids back up on Wednesday for 7 days. Than hell be off for 6wks. After the 6wks are up, he will continue to take them 5 days each month for the next 3yrs with a lower dosage. At that time lets hope and pray to God that his sugars will be good and not high enough to take insulin. There may be more hard adventures later on but we have to depend on God. He prays every night to ask God to heal him and be with him. All we can do is take it day by day. God is good!
