We apologize for this being on FB but its just a simple way to give updates and I hope yall understand. We saw many doctors as the ALS clinic is an all day event and they look at every single thing. All of the results werent good and even the doctors are surprised at how rapid her progression is. Her weight has declined significantly as well as her oxygen levels. There isnt anything Mom can do alone and she always needs assistance. As for the oxygen, we saw a pulmonary doctor & are going to use other sources for oxygen throughout the night to start with. Mom is in a lot of pain because the majority of her muscles are so diminshed and we have a few more meds being prescribed. Hoping to start a blog as theres just not enough time for all the phone calls. In a nut shell: her legs do not work at all and are barely having contractions, we assist her arms now, move her in bed almost every night, pressure sores are a huge scare for us, her fingers are starting to curl and the toes are curling too at night. ALS is an ugly disease and we feel all of your love and support. Also our grandma Beverly A. Fenker does send people updates via email and is willing to add anyone to the list! Please personal message any of us daughters if you want more details or want to see if theres anything you can do to help!!
