Update on Taylor, He is doing good. He is developing a rash so they are trying to control that. He will be undergoing the first of 3 or 4 procedures to change the dressing of the wound vac and to examine the bone today. They have told us that they will scrape at the bone to remove the dead parts of it but they only dare scrape so much without causing the bone to become to weak. In other words they have to tread lightly. This is where we could use specifics is that they can do what is necessary and appropriate with the bone to remove the infection but not so much that it causes the bone to become unstable. There is an outbreak of a virus and the hospital is enforcing visitation restrictions. No one under the age of 14 is allowed in the hostpital unless they are a patient. Visiting hours end at 9 PM and only 2 people at a time. If you have not seen Kandis posts on Facebook or Instagram we request that visits only be after 1 PM. The nights bring challenges so they need their rest. On days of surgeries (like today) no visitors please. He will be very drugged up and recovering from the procedure.
