Update on Tom, Day 95 in the Hospital (Day 3 at Sheltering Arms): - TopicsExpress

Update on Tom, Day 95 in the Hospital (Day 3 at Sheltering Arms): I was a little late getting out the door this morning, arriving at Sheltering Arms around 9:30a and Tom had already had 30 minutes of Speech Therapy and was in a session with his Occupational Therapist. He is so busy these days, we barely have time to visit. But that is ok too as I know with each hour of therapy, he is only getting closer to coming home. As I put my things down, there were flowers and cards addressed to me, after all, it is my birthday. And our Son had come by very early in the morning to visit with his Dad. The card was perfect and of course, I cried and they were happy tears. The card is shown as the image for this posting. The card was perfect and although I know he did not pick it out himself, I do know that my daughter-in-law Melanie Garell and our son probably did and they picked out the perfect card and I will always treasure it and never forget this birthday. After Toms therapy, he was tired and he rested for awhile to prepare for another hour of Occupational Therapy and 30 minutes of Physical Therapy. He was still in Therapy as I departed to go home, sitting in his wheel chair. I do miss our quiet time together, but tomorrow is Sunday and they tell me, he is all mine:) He is getting stronger with each passing day now, and I am so very amazed at how far he has come in these past couple of weeks. Father, thank you for your forgiveness and for your restoration of our body, mind and spirit. Even in our darkest hours, you brought light, everlasting love and your grace. Thank you Dear God for healing my Tom, and bringing him home by Christmas. Amen
