Update on Tom: Sitting in his room this morning. He was wide - TopicsExpress

Update on Tom: Sitting in his room this morning. He was wide awake and looked like he slept well last night. He was ready to write notes and ask questions, and all his vitals look good. So he is sleeping now and thankful that he had a good night. His stomach hurts this morning and I know it is probably his muscles from when he had physical therapy yesterday as they are trying to strengthen his core so he can buildup to walking again. The doctors rounded this morning and they are all meeting this afternoon with another group to discuss Tom and develop an unconventional approach for healing his lungs and enabling him to be more mobile (less tubes). The mobility and exercise are critical for his continued improvement. They are going to try and have him sit on the side of the bed three times today and I know he is worried, but he is willing to try. My sister-in-law, Kay Garell-Hawkinson shared this beautiful song with me -- it is beautiful. One of the verses is Would if the trials of this life are mercies in disguise. And another is What if your healing comes from Tears. I do believe trails in life make use stronger, and certainly stronger in our faith and closer to God, so yes, they are mercies in disguise. And if healing comes from tears, it is for certain, Tom will be healed as so many tears have we cried and shared together. Take some time to listen to this lovely song. It helps me to realize even in my darkest hours, God is always near. I also realize my prayers are being answered, they may not be answered as quickly as I think they should be, but I know too they will be and Tom will be healed completely and he will be home soon. m.youtube/watch?v=XQan9L3yXjc
