Update on #WMATA LEnfant Plaza Incident on 1/12/15 A 13:52 YouTube video was uploaded by msale40 from the inside of the train that was involved. Below is the link as well as several key points (All Times are referring to the elapsed video time) Estimated time of the start of the video is ~15 into the incident. youtu.be/iafvfMxNxM8 Train operator makes 8 announcements during the video at the following times: 0:17-0:29 * 1:22-1:34 * 2:10-2:53 * 3:26-3:33 4:52-5:13 6:54-7:08 7:32-8:14 * 9:46-10:02 At the 4:52 mark the operator makes an announcement directed toward Transit Police indicating the they are holding the train at LEnfant Plaza which is preventing the incident train from reversing. All the times marked with an * indicated requests from the operator not to open the doors, with the last two mentioning that there is no fire Starting at ~4:00 there is a faint alarm in the background that begins, the source of the alarm is undetermined At 12:30, the train operator walks thru the car apparently heading toward the Huntington (Virginia), the mention of brake pipe pressure could be an indication that evacuation was about to begin.
