Update on adoption of Katie from former foster mom... One year ago we got a call to see if we could foster a dog for a day or two until a permanent foster could be found. She was overweight and would need help getting in and out of the car. Christmas day she arrived. Katie was huge. Forget needing help getting in and out of the car. She could not walk outside to go to the bathroom. She could not stand up long enough to eat her food. Long story short, we had a pool and we were willing to foster Katie. Katie now weighs less than half of what she used to weigh. She has been adopted but we still get to see her. This weekend we visited with Katie in her new backyard.
