Update on back surgery..... I havent cleaned out my bedside table since before the surgery. It was empty before then. Now it contains.....tough memories. Common household items to you. To me, a reminder of the pain and struggle I have gone through...a time when I couldnt walk and my husband had to pick me up with my screams of pain. Im holding a flexible straw. Its just a straw....but a straw I had to have because I couldnt set up to drink. My family held my off the edge of the bed to wash my hair. I love this pic. Now I can stare at the wheelchair and walker that is now collecting dust on the back porch. Burn em....but this straw, Im gonna keep. Its a reminder of how far Ive come and how much my family can endure. Talk about a Merry Christmas....its the best damn Christmas ever. Stop and reflect for a moment. Who will hold you up when you cant walk? Who will hand you that straw? Im truly blessed and i know you are too!! Charles Lossing Sidney Lossing
