Update on dad....he is on his way home! Dad did have blockage in his main artery again yesterday. Dad had open heart surgery about 8 years ago and this is one of the arteries that they bypassed then and have since then put a couple of stents in. The dr that did the heart cath wasnt comfortable doing a stent this time and felt that he needed open heart surgery again. The surgeon, however, is not sure if the open heart surgery is the best choice for dad. Its very risky the second time and hes just not sure that it would work considering how narrow his arteries are. His heart dr however feels that he needs it. They are taking him off of his blood thinners and keeping him on a new med that he started a few weeks ago to hopefully help make the arteries larger. He goes back to the surgeon next Friday for a decision. Please pray for direction for everyone involved! We serve an amazing God that could heal my dads heart if he felt that was what needed to happen, but if he doesnt, let me still say...God is good all the time!
