Update on mom: Mom had the vent removed almost a week ago and had shown some improvement. She has been agitated and confused, but heart has been in rhythm and other vitals have been good. The main concern was treating the intestinal blockage without compromising her heart. However, early yesterday morning, she started running a fever, experienced difficulty breathing with fast respirations, and a high white blood count. They thought she aspirated when she vomited, but now they are checking her sputum for staph or MRSA. Please continue to pray that they can treat all of her issues and that she makes a full recovery.
