Update on mom...they have indeed moved her out of the ICU and into the Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Unit at Hackley. Dad and I were here this afternoon and helped move everything over to the new room. As far as the pain goes, she is really hurting today. Her new doctor came in a bit ago and said they were planning to start her therapy program tomorrow. Its probably best that she rests as much as she can tonight. Although she is in a normal room now, the staff is advising that we dont have many visitors at this point in time. These first few days are going to be very taxing on her body. So, we are requesting absolutely no visitors before 4:00pm, and anytime after that, please call myself or my dad before coming in so we can check on her status. At this point, they are expecting her to be here for 1-2 weeks before going home. She is very frustrated and just wants to go now, so were trying to put her at ease. So far, the staff here seems very pleasant and we know she is in good hands. I know Ive asked this a TON, but please continue the thoughts, prayers, and vibes to give her strength, courage, and now calm. Im sure tomorrow will bring some new developments once the therapy starts. Ill do my best to keep everyone informed. Thank you all for your love, support, and care.
