Update on my hip..... I went to the doctor today and got quite a scare. He took x-rays and they really didnt show anything. He then proceeded to say that he could do a MRI but that wouldnt show anything either. The only way to know if it is healed is to go in and look at the cartilage. I looked at him and said we are not doing that. He told me no he would not do that. He took most of my restrictions away. Now I have to walk with at least one crutch when I leave the house but if I dont leave the house I dont have to use the crutches at all. I have about a dozen exercises to do so I can get the strength back in that leg. He said if I do the exercises consistently for the next month and there is no complications I should be able to return to work next month. When I heard this today I thought it was so great I went for a walk around the block and now I realized that is what he meant not to do when he said dont over do it. Recovery has been great though I only had one complication and I wouldnt even call it that. I had a small clot in my leg but that wasnt anything to be worried about he just put me on aspirin for it and said i would be fine. I am so blessed with how this recovery is going. Im more than excited to finally be able to start building that legs strength back up. I can exercise again :D Dr. Ryan said my goal to work for for this month is to be off the crutches completely.
