Update on my mom: Hi everyone- Sorry my posts have been less frequent the past week. Balancing my time between kids, home, work, and family is not an easy task but I am trying my best... As you know from my brothers post a few days ago the results of the biopsy were not what we had hoped. The biopsy showed no change from the previous one. There is still a slight change the numbers could improve as in some cases it takes a little longer for the chemo to work. They will do another biopsy at day 28 or day 32, depending on her blood counts. If the chemo worked and she is at less than 5% blasts then she can proceed with transplant. If the chemo did not work there is another non-chemo treatment option they can try that could still potentially put her into remission. Right now the goal is getting her feeling well enough to go home. She is still sick to her stomach each day and not eating much. Also, she is coughing quite a bit so not sleeping good. They did a CT and X-ray this evening to check a few things and should find out results tomorrow. Also, her blood count (ANC) has to be greater than 500 in order to go home and right now at 200. So we still have a few hurdles but hoping and praying she can go home soon. We appreciate and are humbled by your continued thoughts, prayers, texts, visits, cards, etc. This is not an easy road but the good Lord gives us strength to make it through each day.
