***Update on my mom*** It has been a crazy roller coaster we have been on recently. About a week ago she got released to go to Warm Springs rehabilitation center. She only lasted about a day or so there until she pulled a drain tube out in the middle of the night. So we ended up back at northeast baptist. A few days later they released her again and got her settled back at Warm Springs. She then developed a blood clot in her abdomen and had to return to NE baptist. She got the clot fixed and was beginning to recover again. She was very vocal, smiling and enjoying company. Today we have taken a major step backward. When the dr came to change her wound vac, they discovered a large amount of drainage, puss and an infection in her upper abdomen. They went in and cleaned her out some and put in a new drainage tool to try to get the infection and nasty fluids out. She is in severe pain and there really is nothing they can do for her to ease it. She will get a CT scan tonight to see how much progress is made and what to do from here. We should know much more by the morning. Please keep my mom, dad, nurses and Drs in your prayers tonight. Its been a really rough day on my dad as he was very happy with her progress leading up to today. Thanks to everyone for the continued support.
