Update on my mountain writers getaway: Water rights were unanimously approved by the governing board. Its a matter of them installing the meter. Pricey endeavor, water rights, but very much worth it! The outside is done. The 1928 outhouse (converting it into a garden shed) has been roofed and painted inside and out (and closed up, with lye dropped into it!). Next is drywall, plumbing, electrical (plus installing a bathroom and small kitchen), and refinishing the original plank flooring. Lots to do still, but its moving along.
