Update on my own strain of Thai Tepin I created back in the 1990s. - TopicsExpress

Update on my own strain of Thai Tepin I created back in the 1990s. Its incredibly stable and an absolutely wonderful plant and tasty pepper. It has the blunt ends from the Tepin and the habit, heat and flavor of the Thai. For those who I agreed to hook up with a few pods and seeds, they will be available in a couple of weeks. This is an update on the same plant I posted about a month ago. It is now full of ripe pods and looking nice and healthy. I cant say enough good things about this strain and its about 20yrs. old and completely stable. Plus it makes a great companion strain to cross with others to get a lot of good traits like disease and pest resistance and tolerance to heat, cold or low light. Not to mention the compact growth habit and relatively high heat level. I have other plants in isolation and will be selling seeds and plants from those at a later date. For now I will only have a very few pods I can afford to let go to those I had promised would get them. I make an amazing chili powder from them we use in making sauces. I also have the original strains growing this year and plan on creating a new hybrid F1 Jons Thai Tepin #2 to see what comes of it.
