Update on my sweet little 89-year-old mom ... she improved greatly today from her infection and other complicating factors maybe partially brought on by other sources ... and has been released from Norman Regional this afternoon. Appreciative of so many of the very competent Norman Regional nursing staff, who worked closely with us on her care and our concerns. With Robert Cole and Paul Cole, who have been such a terrific support system and team. When one of your loved ones gets sick and is a bit delirious, sometimes people who love them just have to realize that the core of that wonderful person is still there and fight for them, even when they are presenting as sorta crazy. I keep seeing this happen with elderly people, who may just be not taking their meds, taking the wrong meds or not being given the meds they should be getting. Just give us a glimpse of rationality and well fight like crazy to get them back. Great progress today and onward. Shes going to be OK.
