Update on our Community Garden Work has been continuing on upgrading our garden beds and many plot holders are now settled in to their new plots and busy planting for late Winter/Spring food. Favourite crops are Garlic Chive and Coriander; Broccoli and Cabbage; Spinach and Salad; and they have put Broad beans and snow peas into the communal areas. The rain has been very welcome, and with the compost generously donated by a private sponsor, the seeds and seedlings should grow well. All the plot holders are being encouraged to paint name stakes for their plots so everyone can see where they are in the Hope garden. Keep putting in Winter veggie seeds and seedlings folks as this is really the last month before it gets too cold; and now is the time to plant Garlic. Happy Gardening!
