Update on our Surprise foal: Rhythm & Balous by Bliss MF out of Ms. Ritmo Latino bred by Worth A Shot Farm. She was Gold Premium and Site Champion of her RPSI inspection and at a very young, 4 weeks old! While we were extremely proud of her accolade, we were even more impressed with how she handled the entire experience. She got her first real bubble tubby, then loaded in the trailer before her mom and she stood quietly while we coax mom to load. Then she spent 3 hours traveling to the host site. She unloaded and relaxed in her new bedroom and stood ground tied for her first time being braided. The next morning I was pleased to see both moms and their babies felt relaxed enough to lay down and sleep over night (even though it meant picking shavings out of the braids in the morning LOL) She wowed the inspector and spectator alike. It was so cute to see her with her her Site champion ribbon which was almost as big as she was! She proudly wore it for all the pics, even with the wind basically turning it into a kite :D. She loaded and traveled home and led quietly back out to her home turf, with a new era and confidence about herself. I swear she matured right before our eyes and it was awesome to watch. Seeing her makes me even more excited to have my own mare and a client mare in foal to him for 2015!
