Update on the Ed Wegel e-mails, over the holidays, about creating the new Eastern corporate headquarters lobby display model aircraft. Basically still waiting to hear back from the new CEO. Not sure if its price, or he is very busy or maybe just waiting till Eastern is a little further along its rebirth. I do not hound people and make a pest of myself, so I followed this letter up with a simple one to keep all doors open. Here is the letter I sent him December 27th. Hello,Mr. Wegel, Happy Hollys! I can create this 737-800 in a variety of sizes. Each is hand made from scratch from basswood, stiff hobby foam, fiberglass, foamcoat. Any size you choose will have easy remove wings for ease of shipment, and easy disassemble custom boomerang shaped pole stand. (Dont worry, No umbrella poles! ) Any silver trim on the wings will be in several different silver paints to give an uneven plated look to emulate aluminium plating. 5 or larger will have detailed fan blades and detailed compressor spinner just like the real aircraft. Each fan blade hand made and inserted to spinner then placed in engine intake. Light sharp pencil detail of assembly body and wing plates will be done. The stand is wood with aluminium mounting pole for the plane will either be varnished wood grain of the color ranges from light Honey pine, marine teak color to Dark Cherry or Bombay Mahogany like antique pianos. Or you can have it painted in a solid color from white to black or Eastern turquoise. Gear will be in the retracted position only on all models. Flight surfaces are detailed marked on surface, but can not move. $4,000 for the 4 mounted model. $5,200 for the 5 mounted model $6,500 for the 6 mounted model $7,800 for the 7 mounted model $9,000 for the 8 mounted model $10,000 for the 9 mounted model The photos attached is the very 737-800 aircraft you would like the model of correct? I will attempt to find an enamel white pen and free hand the The Spirit of Eddie Rickenbacker on the side of the cockpit! Sincerely Jay Baldwin 11350 SW 45 St. Miami, Florida, 33165, 305-484-0643 Follow up letter. Mr. Wegel, Happy New Year! Even if funds are an issue! I can build this bird in the size of your choice at $0 down! If you bear with my extended assembly and construction time. I will work on it in my spare time and spare funds investment. May take 6-8 months, but you would only owe me upon personal delivery of the completed plane. I will assemble her and deliver her to your corporate headquarters here by Le Jeune and NW 36 St. Jay Baldwin 305-484-0643 Not too pushy? Right?
