Update on the Nicks Window (Door) project. The panel has got to go in a pre-determined space, so Ive had to adjust measurements to make sure theyre as precise as I can be comfortable with, all the while allowing for some wiggle room (which can be solved with caulk). I also had to accommodate zinc framing, allowing for approx 1/8th u-channel for the glass to rest in and keep the whole mess within the space allowed for the window. Now that Ive got the pattern properly marked (thanks again to John for the CAD of the pattern) I have to choose glass. These are the pieces Im going to work with, which I think will compliment the color scheme of the house. And I have to remember that the panel will be seen from both sides, as its in a door and its an inside door on the second floor with a lot of natural light hitting the side that will be seen in the hallway as one ascends the stairs. This is the glass…but in what combinations? Aye, matie, the plot thickens!
