Update on the School Building Program: At tonights budget committee meeting, members approved a motion to include the purchase of properties at Loretto and Summertown for the purpose of new schools, in a bond resolution that will be voted upon by the full commission next month. The budget committee joins the school liaison committee in voting to advance this critical part of the building plan. Once the full commission votes to purchase the properties, the county will then look at how best to fund the construction of the new high schools and at what pace. #ThisIsProgress #EducationEquity4All
