Update on the petition scramble: "Hi Everyone, Thank you to all of you who responded to my emergency email of a few hours ago. A special thanks goes out to George Heman of Van Etten who called the Chemung County Board of Elections supervisor and told her about what had happened to us in Owego this morning. The Chemung BOE of elections lady called to say that she did not think the Owego people had the law right so she called them and suggested they call Albany for clarification of the law. As the law would have it our original 125 signatures were indeed valid, so the mad scramble for getting new petitions signed was officially called off a bit after five. As it looks now the SpencerTogether party is on its way to being on the ballot in November.....thanks again, Rick, Megan and Rusty."
