Update on the sweetest of old man dogs Mr.Fozzy: When the shelter contacted us in hopes that we might save Fozzy - they couldnt give us clear information on his medical condition and we had to decide right away if we could save him. His time there had run out. They did say that he was definitely depressed and very stiff from being in the cold shelter & that he needed a dental. But they loved him so much..We just could not leave this sweet guy behind! we wanted to give him a chance.. When he arrived to rocket dog we were a bit shocked at his condition. He really was weak, very afraid, emaciated, he would not eat, he seemed so sad and shut down... poor little guy.. he was rushed to the vet by his foster mom Kimberly ,where he had treatment, Bloodwork etc.. When back at home with Kim things started to look up .. within a few short hours he started looking brighter & eating. Within days he had started to gain weight, looked stronger, his eyes were brighter.. then, one day he wagged his little tail :) Sadly, Fozzy had a little backslide today after moving to his new foster home. He was rushed back to the vet. when visiting with the amazing Dr. Shikher Singla it was determined that Fozzy (most likely) has kidney failure. Dr Singla felt that it was entirely fair to offer Fozzy loving supportive veterinary care over the next day or so to see if Fozzy will stabilize & be able to come home to his foster mom. His condition is severe but all we really want is offer him a chance
