Update so far..... Following Fridays meeting with the Council, we have now been asked to submit a more detailed proposal regarding the future of the camp. Whilst we have substantial funds, materials & manpower for the immediate reopening of the camp & also identified the running costs for the next couple of years, the council have moved the goalposts slightly and asked us to provide a 10 year financial plan. Community backing remains strong and we have urged EVERYONE to contact their local Councillors and complain regarding the closure, which we now know is because the Council would rather sell the land than hand the management of the camp over to people in a better position to manage the camp to its full potential and make it a thriving resource for the children it was left to - OUR CHILDREN! Please keep supporting us, please keep complaining, we particularly need to hear about demand for places as again this is what the Council have questioned.
