Update time! We got Nashs last X-ray on Thursday August, 14 and had an appointment with Servando and Dr Paley the same day. We knew that would be Nashs last appointment so we were anxious to hear what Paley would have to say. He was thrilled with Nashs progress!! He also said Nash was healing amazingly well and we could possibly have the fixator off in a couple months. Thats awesome news!! Our final length was 3inches of new bone...which is how short he was when we started. So he REALLY has 2 legs the same length for the first time in his life!!!!!! Yay!! Many thanks go to our amazing therapists Lisa Ritze and Mike Thompson. We couldnt have done it without them and we will be forever grateful for them. :) we will miss them!!! We left Florida on Friday the 15th and arrived home around 5pm. It was extremely exciting for us!! We missed HOME! Nash ran around the house like hed never seen it before! He thinks he got a new bed and furniture and toys!! He didnt... but well just go with it ;) We had out first therapy appointment today here in Cedar Rapids. We are going to the same place we went after his hip surgery and have the same therapists! Very, very exciting for us. :) I think he will do great. Our next step is to get an X-ray in a month...send it to Paley and see where we go from there. In the meantime, Nash and Hattie will start their new daycare on Monday. Please pray that we chose a good and loving place that the kids will enjoy. Chris and I feel good about it so hopefully it was the right decision. The kids couldnt be more excited :)
